Dear Mom…
So many of our Vuers are mothers. They do it all—from raising children and working full-time, to caring for their mothers—they truly carry the weight of the world with grace.
We are endlessly grateful for the timeless sacrifices our mothers make, and we want to take a moment to honor them.
This Mother’s Day, we reached out to our Vuer Community, asking you to share messages to your moms, or messages written as a mom. We were completely blown away by the depth and raw emotion of your responses.
The following is curated directly from your Vuer submissions. We have intertwined your words into a flowing dialogue, written like an eternal conversation going back and forth from mother to child, mother to mother, child to mother, and so on.
Dear Mom,

Oh, how I miss my Momma; I will always remember your warm hugs. Simply put, I love you and I miss you. I wish you were still here for me to tell you how much I care. If I could have just five minutes of time given back to me, I would use it to stare upon your face again, to get a hug and a kiss, and hear you say, “Cilla, I love you”.
My Dearest Children,

I want you to know that you are my purpose in this world, just as you have always been. I was a very young mother, and in a sense, we grew up together. I hope I have taught you how to be decent humans. I hope your moral compass is always stronger than your desire to fit in, and that you love others more than yourself. I wouldn’t change a single thing about you, because you are absolutely perfect, and you remain the very best part of my existence.
Dear Mom,

Looking back, I have so much to say. I want to tell you how sorry I am for being a disruptive teenager and young adult; I ask for your forgiveness. I want you to know how very much I’ve always loved you, even though I didn’t say it like I should have. At the same time, I want to say: I forgive, too. You were young yourself, and the decisions you made were for the better for my brother and me. Please forgive yourself and know you are very loved! I love and appreciate you for everything.
Dear Mom,

I cannot say thank you enough times to make up for all the times I didn’t say it. You are the strongest person I know. You went through so much while raising me and my siblings, and made sure we had everything we needed to be successful and comfortable growing up. I am overjoyed to see you thriving. You’re a boss woman who has worked hard for everything you’ve built. Thank you and I love you.
My Dearest Children,

Please remember that I have an open-door policy, and my home is always your home. Regardless of the situation, we will get through it together. More than all of this, I hope you never feel alone in this life. I hope you believe in Jesus, because following Him is the most important decision you will ever make.
Christmas With Mom – David

Dear Mom,

Every day I bless God who brought me here through you. I am so thankful and appreciative of your timeless sacrifice. Thank you for giving me all of you, and making it possible for me to smile again and again, even when you had little or nothing to your name. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you’ve ever done for me. My biggest prayer is that God will let me build you a 19-bedroom mansion with swimming pools, a basketball court, and a soccer pitch so all the grandchildren can hang out and have plenty of fun. If I could just have one more chance—five minutes on a park bench in front of the lake or the beach—I would say all these things and give you the biggest hug.
My Dearest Children,

We have fire in our souls. We are our mother’s warriors. I love you beyond measure and beyond words. I hope that you always know that and can feel it deep in your heart. I love you MOST!. Mom.
Dear Mom,

Thank you for being my momma. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom & Mommy Angela. Happy heavenly Mother’s Day, Momma Ruth. With eternal gratitude, Your Children — Ken, Cilla, Debra, and all who love you.
