City Facility Management’s head of external services came to us with a time-sensitive project that demanded photo and survey data on 1.4K+ properties across 20 states. Our client had an upcoming deadline that needed to be met in order to maintain their vendor relationship with a big box retailer. With a widespread portfolio, tight timeline, lack of resources and need to keep on budget, our client was unsure how to quickly gain transparency on the properties. Past methods proved to lack consistency and organization and ultimately inhibited City FM from making informed decisions that would enhance their relationship with their client.
Challenges
-Widespread portfolio
-Short window for project completion
-Lack of resources to completely in timely manner
-Budget restraints
-Lack of unbiased transparency
Solution
City FM requested specific Vues that captured overall landscape photo and survey data on their multi-site portfolio. By leveraging the Vuer Network (gig economy) and curating a customized survey specific to our clients needs, our team was confident about the rapid turnaround time the iVueit platform could offer as well as the organized client portal that would help City FM manage the mass data. The curated surveyed answered questions about overall landscape conditions, estimated mulch & rock depth, and a quantified number of specific obstructions or discrepencies on site. By crowdsourcing the data, we were able to keep project costs at $25/site. iVueit’s method would improve quality control, free up internal resources, and get enhanced results at a fraction of the cost of traditional site audits.
Results
-Within the first 24 hours of the request, the Vuer Network submitted data on 43% of City FM’s portfolio consisting of 1.4K+ sites.
-Our client requested the data back within 30 days of the request but we were able to collect, review, and escalate any discrepencies within 4 days.
-Out of 1.4K+ sites, our third party quality control team escalated 259 Vues to alert the client of sites that needed immediate attention.
-All of the photos were time-stamped, geo-coded, and organized in the client portal where the data can be filtered and exported at any time.
-Upon project completion, our team provided customized reports of the data that accelerated the review process for City FM, ultimately allowing them to make informed decisions that created immediate positive impact for the city.
